Owner-Instructor Rebecca Szetela earned her BA in Art History/Studio Art from Tufts University/Boston Museum School & her MBA from Simmons School of Management with post-graduate studies in entrepreneurship. Before opening Create! Sewing Studio, Rebecca ran a successful graphic design business for over 20 years as well working as a resident artist at the Emerson Umbrella Center for the Arts in Concord, MA. Rebecca has been teaching sewing in Acton for over 18 years. “Our mission is to encourage creativity in children, teens & adults through the medium of sewing.” –Rebecca

Sewing Instructor Ruth is a highly experienced sewing instructor. She is  talented both as a quilting and garment sewing teacher. Ruth’s former work was as a special needs teacher in the public school system and she carries that sensitivity to children into her teaching at Create! Sewing Studio.

Sewing Instructor Jen has been sewing and teaching sewing for many years and she loves working with all ages. Jen is a creative problem solver…if there is a way to do it, she will find it! When she is not teaching with us, she is running her Etsy shop making adorable and unusual Christmas ornaments!

Sewing Instructor Ashley is a recent fashion graduate of Lasell University School of Fashion, Newton, MA and has been sewing and creating garments from a young age. She loves teaching sewing with us as much as she loves designing and sewing her fashion garments.
